Celebrating Love and Leadership: Honoring Kyle and Sierra’s Journey and Their Impact on Naqsmist Storytellers Inc.
On October 5th, 2024, we gathered to witness Kyle and Sierra join in marriage, surrounded by family and friends who traveled from as far as Ontario to honor their love. Together for over a decade, Kyle and Sierra have been a living example of love, dedication, respect, and commitment. As the eldest siblings in their families, they’ve carried responsibilities far beyond their years, and it was so beautifully fitting that they chose to celebrate their union with a honeymoon in Disneyland and Universal Studios.
Kyle, co-founder of Naqsmist Storytellers Inc., is not only a gifted facilitator and emcee but also a Certified True Colors Facilitator who weaves Indigenous Knowledges into his training, always grounding it in the Cultivating Safe Spaces Framework. His leadership, guidance, and contributions have been instrumental in the development of our Cultivating Safe Spaces online courses, and we are continually inspired by his vision and dedication.
Sierra, our Event Planning Manager, has worn many hats within Naqsmist Storytellers Inc., from Operations Manager to Finance Manager to Facilitator. Her growth as a facilitator has been incredible to witness, recently stepping into Elaine’s role for one of the Cultivating Safe Spaces Executive Training sessions. It was this same sense of grace and precision that allowed Sierra to plan a wedding where everything flowed seamlessly, a reflection of her care and meticulous attention to detail.
Beyond their professional titles, Kyle and Sierra have shown true resilience and perseverance, helping navigate Naqsmist Storytellers Inc. through uncertainty, financial struggles, and even layoffs. Their leadership has been a beacon during challenging times, as they made personal sacrifices, including giving up their full salaries to ensure the company could continue moving forward. Despite the weight of planning a wedding, they put the needs of the company and our collective vision first, helping us pivot and navigate through hardship with grace and determination.
As a team, we have all contributed in our own ways, making sacrifices and dedicating ourselves to the continued growth of Naqsmist Storytellers Inc. But today, we want to extend a special thank you to Kyle and Sierra for their unwavering commitment, especially during the immense pressure of coordinating and organizing a wedding. Their leadership during such a significant personal milestone speaks volumes about their dedication to our shared mission.
We also want to express our deep gratitude to Kyle and Sierra’s amazing wedding party. Your love and support for these two have been so evident, and we know how much you contribute to their well-being and playfulness. That spirit of joy and connection helps to sustain them both personally and professionally, and for that, we are so thankful.
Now, as they return from their whirlwind honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Alec, step back into their roles with renewed energy. We are excited to continue supporting them as they help us grow Naqsmist Storytellers Inc., expanding our services and offerings to reach even more people. Their love, leadership, and unwavering commitment truly reflect the heart of what we do.
Congratulations to Kyle, Sierra, and all of us at Naqsmist Storytellers Inc. on this beautiful journey and the continued growth and success of our collective work.
